The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, objectivity and scientific rigor in its programs, and has policies in place to ensure the highest standards in all of its endeavors. CRF receives support, earns revenues and is compensated for services provided that enable the organization to carry out its mission of improving the survival and quality of life for people with cardiovascular disease through research and education. CRF is also committed to making available the nature, sources and amounts of the financial support it receives.
It is the policy of CRF to also ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all of its sponsored educational programs. Support from outside sources does not influence educational content, faculty selection or faculty presentations, and, therefore, does not compromise the scientific integrity of the educational experience.
CRF also adheres to rules and guidance relating to the receipt of support from for-profit entities, including Internal Revenue Service regulations governing organizations classified as federally tax- exempt under sections 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standards for Commercial Support.
