May 15, 2017 – CRF Board Member, William A. Himmelsbach, MPH, FACHE, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Medical University of South Carolina’s Foundation for Research Development (FRD). FRD has served as MUSC’s technology transfer office since 1998 and manages and markets intellectual property for MUSC.

Mr. Himmelsbach is a retired health care executive and former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. Prior to joining CRF, he was Senior Vice President of VHA and Executive Officer of its New York-based VHA Empire - Metro. Bill also serves as a Director for Beaufort (SC) Memorial Hospital and the Zucker Institute of Applied Neurosciences at MUSC.
