Medical Professionals and the Public to Enhance Patient Outcomes
As the breadth and complexity of interventional medicine grows, so does the need for expanded, up-to-the-minute educational opportunities for physicians, nurses, and technologists. CRF has responded by developing a range of educational initiatives that meet those needs.
The Meetings and educational Services Division of CRF is committed to educating physicians and other health care professionals on translating new therapies into improved care for patients with cardiovascular disease. CRF has achieved a worldwide reputation for excellence in training clinical practitioners in advanced techniques and innovations. We conduct educational meetings, conferences, and teaching symposia that shape the direction of research and new approaches to clinical practice in interventional cardiovascular medicine.
CRF’s signature scientific symposium, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), brings together more than 11,000 physicians, health care professionals, industry colleagues, and government regulators from around the world to present the latest in research and interventional techniques. CRF also sponsors a variety of other educational activities that focus on emerging clinical areas of need, such as the Chronic Total Occlusion Summit and Left Main Coronary Interventions Course, the Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course, and the Transcatheter Valve Therapies workshop.
CRF also develops and distributes educational materials intended for the global medical community through online journals, CDs,DVDs, Web sites, webcasts, and state-of-the-art graphic and multimedia services that include high-definition video production, online interactive training programs, and 3-D modeling and animation. CRF also manages TCTMD.com, a leading resource for interventional cardiovascular news and education.
