New York, NY – March 21, 2016 – The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) is excited to announce the launch of TCTMD’s new podcast network, the Pulse of Cardiology. TCTMD is the leading online resource for cutting-edge news and information in interventional cardiovascular medicine, and beyond.

“We’re always trying to dream up novel and engaging ways to communicate important news and issues,” said Shelley Wood, TCTMD’s Managing Editor and Editorial Director at CRF. “With podcasting, what’s old is new again. We’re having fun with the Pulse of Cardiology programs and we think TCTMD members, who have less and less time for reading and staring at a screen, are going to enjoy having this option for accessing great cardiology content.”

The Pulse of Cardiology will feature three stations, all dedicated to providing thought-provoking content for TCTMD readers:

  • Heart Sounds with Shelley Wood – A round-up of the month’s top news from TCTMD reporters, hosted by Shelley Wood, TCTMD’s Managing Editor.
  • Talking Points – A selection of the best interviews conducted by physicians and recorded at cardiology conferences around the globe.
  • TCT Radio – Lively roundtable debates covering cardiovascular clinical trials, with host Dr. Roxana Mehran, Chief Scientific Officer of the CRF Clinical Trials Center and Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

“These podcasts are a natural extension of the reporting we do on a daily basis,” said Ms. Wood. “We’re very excited to grow these programs, as well as launch new ones in the future, including a dedicated station for cardiology fellows.”

New episodes are currently available online at TCTMD or via iTunes.
