Funds Raised Will Support Heart Disease Research and Education Initiatives

 

What:
The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) will salute two eminent cardiologists, Drs. Anthony DeMaria and Valentin Fuster, for their significant contributions to heart disease research and education leading to improved outcomes for patients all over the world. The theme of this year's Gala is "Training the Thought Leaders of Tomorrow" and will recognize their dedication to mentoring the next generation of physicians by teaching others the latest research and techniques.

Who:
More than 400 luminaries in interventional cardiovascular medicine, politicians, celebrities, media and those with a close connection and desire to improve treatments for those suffering from cardiovascular disease will gather to pay tribute to the honorees. The program, led by Gala chairs Martin B. Leon, MD; Jack Lewin, MD; and Gregg W. Stone, MD will feature remarks by renowned cardiologists, Anthony N. DeMaria, MD and Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD.

Why:
Funds raised from this year’s Gala will benefit CRF’s medical research and educational programs. This support will help CRF to pursue innovative areas of research, train tomorrow’s physician leaders, and educate the medical community and the public about heart health.
