May 15, 2017 – CRF faculty members, George D. Dangas, MD, PhD and Roxana Mehran, MD, were inducted Friday as Master Interventionalists of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (MSCAI) during the during the SCAI Annual Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Drs. Dangas and Mehran were selected as two of the seven distinguished individuals selected for this year’s MSCAI class. This designation acknowledges outstanding SCAI Fellows recognized by their peers as having demonstrated excellence over their careers, committed to the highest levels of clinical care, innovation, publication, and teaching.

George D. Dangas, MD, PhD, is Director of Academic Affairs at CRF and Co-Director of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), the annual scientific symposium of CRF. He is also Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Innovation at the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute of the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

Roxana Mehran, MD, is Co-Director of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT). She is also Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute.
