NEW YORK – July 9, 2020 - The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) is pleased to announce that Caitlin Cox, a reporter for TCTMD, has won the 2020 National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation’s award for trade journalism. Her investigative feature on endovascular procedures shifting to outpatient offices was one of six recognized as the year’s most compelling, powerful and informative journalism/research pieces. Winners were selected from more than 400 entries by a panel of renowned healthcare leaders and journalists.

A gifted writer and journalist, Caitlin joined TCTMD in 2008 and currently serves as news editor. She is also producer of the Rox Heart Radio podcast. She earned a BS in Biology at the University of Georgia and an MA in journalism from New York University’s Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program.
