New Journal Website is Live

NEW YORK – April 7, 2022 – The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) is pleased to announce that Structural Heart: The Journal of the Heart Team is now open access and published by Elsevier. All issues and articles will be available for free on its new website: https://www.structuralheartjournal.org/.

“This is an exciting new beginning for Structural Heart as we enter the rapidly increasing world of open-access publications,” said Anthony N. DeMaria, MD, Editor-in-Chief of the journal. Dr. DeMaria is the Judith and Jack White Chair in Cardiology and Founding Director of the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center at the University of California, San Diego. “As an open-access journal, our contents will be available to anyone, anywhere with an interest in structural heart disorders. New research and information will be available to as many individuals as soon as possible without the barrier of a financial outlay. We welcome everyone to join us in this exciting transition.”

Structural Heart, the official journal of CRF, is led by a distinguished Editorial Board of recognized international experts in the field. The journal is dedicated to disseminating the latest research and information to members of the Heart Team, as well as the wider medical community interested in structural heart disorders. The journal focuses on diseases of the heart valves, myocardium, pericardium, and great vessels, as well as congenital heart disease.

The journal publishes original research, reviews, opinion pieces, editorials, and images in cardiovascular disease. Authors who publish in Structural Heart can make their work immediately, permanently, and freely accessible worldwide. They will pay an article publishing charge (APC; discounted for TCT or TVT attendees), have a choice of license options, and retain copyright to their published work.
