Guidelines for all presentations
Please follow the requirements below for an efficient upload experience:
IMPORTANT: You MUST have your disclosure information as the 2nd slide of your presentation. Click on the link below to download.
Please note: MAC users please allow an extra hour (4 hours total) before your talk to convert your presentation if you bring it in Keynote format. While we suggest you convert your Keynote presentations into PowerPoint pre-TCT and fix any formatting issues ahead of time, we will happily assist you on-site.
Presentation Technology
Each meeting room is equipped with a laptop and projector. A network-based presentation system will be used along with a conference specific interface to ensure the quality of all presentations. Therefore, personal laptops cannot be connected in the lecture room. All presentations must be uploaded in advance to the server.
Tips for Optimizing File Size:
Optimize Your Presentation:
Delete any hidden slides in your presentation that you will not be using. This is an easy way to get rid of unnecessary data and help your presentation load faster.
Optimize Your Pictures:
Click on any picture in your presentation. Then click on the ‘Picture Tools Format’ ribbon at the top of the screen. On the left-hand side of the ribbon, click on the ‘compress pictures’ option. A pop-up box with options will appear. Make sure to un-check ‘apply only to this picture’; this will make sure that all pictures in your file are compressed at once. ‘Delete cropped areas of pictures’ should stay checked; and if given the option, please choose ‘screen 150ppi’ otherwise select ‘use document resolution’. Depending on the photos in your presentation, this can greatly reduce the size of your file without greatly effecting quality.
Optimize Your Videos:
We recommend that ‘uncompressed AVIs not be used. Uncompressed files are very large and will slow down the upload process.
